What started 39 years ago with a soldering iron, a multimeter and a bedroom workspace has grown into a multi-disciplinary engineering business supporting industrial operations across South Africa.
Today, TM Engineering brings together industrial automation, electronic repairs, control systems, electrical engineering, component supply, machinery and turnkey project delivery — backed by a team that understands what production downtime really costs.

From a bedroom to a complete engineering solution
TM Engineering began by solving a very specific problem.
Industrial machinery was going down because electronic PC boards had failed. Replacement boards often had to be imported, meaning customers could wait days for a component that was stopping an entire production line.
Trevor saw the gap.
Instead of waiting for replacement boards, he started repairing them locally — often turning around specialised repairs quickly enough to get customers back into production.
Word spread.
The work grew from pharmaceutical and mining into food, beverage, packaging, manufacturing, automotive, cosmetics and other industries. The business evolved with its customers, expanding from electronic repairs into automation, PLCs, control panels, electrical systems, industrial components, machinery and complete engineering projects.
Today, that original PC board expertise remains part of the business, alongside a much broader engineering capability.
